VISCERAL'S NEW ALBUM, "EYES, TEETH AND BONES", WILL BE RELEASED THE 04TH OF APRIL 2025, BY RAGING PLANET. MOSTLY FURIOUS AND FAST DEATH METAL, THERE IS SPACE FOR SLOW AND DENSE SONGS ALSO, AS IT IS THE CASE OF THIS NEW SINGLE “LOATHE”, WHICH INCLUDES THE SPECIAL GUEST, SINGER CÉLIA RAMOS. PRODUCED AND MIXED BY BRUNO JOEL CORREIA, “EYES, TEETH AND BONES" WAS MASTERED BY DAVE OTERO ( CATTLE DECAPITATION, VITRIOL, ABORTED).
Straightforward Death Metal with a foot in the old school ambience and another one in the more extreme and dark sides of the spectrum, K. started to put some riffs and ideas together and building the song structures.
Session drummer Menthor Serpens ( from Enthroned, Lucifyre, Nightbringer and others ) took care of shaping the songs to an even more extreme form and Alexandre Ribeiro ( Grog, Earth Electric ) accepted the invitation to lend his creative approach on the bass. The concept K. had in mind for the vocals needed diverse colors and shapes, and so Guilherme Henriques ( Gaerea, Oak ) accepted the invitation do share the duties, completing the recording line-up.
“The Tree of Venomous Fruit” comprises of 11 extreme Death Metal pieces and comes as a rumbling thunder of cutting riffs, pulsating bass tones and pounding drums and recorded in several locations between Algarve, London, and Lisbon in April 2022.
ABOUT BRUNO K.
I started my first band in 1988, and since then released more than a handful of demos, EP’s and
albums. Some of the names of the projects were SEPULCHRAL and BOWELROT, and more recentlyIN THA UMBRA and ENLIGHTEN. Also organized some Metal Festivals and small club shows in the
south of Portugal. Spent the last 16 years working in culture, and mainstream music eventprogramming, production and also live sound engineering in more than 1000 concerts from Pop music to Rock, Electronic to World Music, Folk to Metal. I also own a recording studio
( www.ilargia.pt ). Too I have provided logistic, accomodation and backline support for rehearsalsand/or pre-production in the Algarve for bands as TWILIGHT OF THE GODS, AURA NOIR or VLTIMAS.
In the beggining of 2023, Ruben and Mauro joined Bruno as the Live line-up os VISCERAL, and in December 2023 the song "The Breath That Kindled FIre", recorded with this line-up, was released in digital format, once again by RAGING PLANET. In the beginning of 2025, Ruben left the band and José Marques joined on second guitar and sharing vocal duties.
